I’ve worn glasses since I was 12.  Progressive lenses helped with my vision changes until the last several years.  I found myself juggling several pains of glasses for reading playing the piano and driving.  When Dr. Wilmeth asked me why I wanted laser vision correction surgery, I said it was because I want to see!!!! Now after surgery I only need reading glasses.  It’s wonderful to wake up and be able to see clearly without glasses.

Epi-Lasik Procedure

To say that what Dr. Wilmeth has done for me over the past year is MIRACULOUS(!) would still be an understatement. He performed four eye surgeries (two multifocal implants during cataract treatment, and two follow-up Epi-LASIK procedures - correcting astigmatism in both eyes); and for first time since third grade (no details, but trust me, quite some time) I now have 20/20 vision! Prior to these amazing new technologies and Dr. Wilmeth's extraordinary surgical skills, I would have been considered "legally blind" without glasses or contact lenses.

A frank discussion of options and outcomes, plus thorough examinations of all aspects of my vision, provided me with pros and cons, so that I could make a clear and well-informed decision. A decision for which I will forever be thankful!!

I must also express huge respect and gratitude for the magnificent people in both the Surgery Center and in Dr. Wilmeth's office, who, in my mind, are all "Angels on Earth!" The obvious medical skills, care, dedication and thoughtfulness of these people cannot receive enough praise and thanks.

One more thought: Anyone who decides to have these procedure(s) must also be prepared to hold up their end in following post-surgical directions and taking medications appropriately. This is crucial, and any patient must apply the same dedication to their healing as those who made it possible.
